FONT MADRID

Nothing is permanent, but time itself. Not even the strongest materials can stand the test of time.Nothing is destroyed, everything is transformed.

The land artists searched to intervene space in a grand, yet permanent matter. They new that this permanence was only relative, as is is as nature that has the final word.

The language of construction is implicit in all forms of architecture and design

The proposal is to create an installation with rusted H beams, implementing both a language of minimalism and constructivism. Some of these beams can be used for sitting on, others will create particular structures, giving the space dynamism and a sense of place.

COSTA DEL SOL

Here you will find a virtual space hosting a selection of one-off
pieces created by a new generation of experimental Spanish design. Each room will be
exclusively accommodated to its individual needs in a functional and fictitious manner.
The hotel is used as a device to act as both a conceptual and physical manifestation of
recent socio-economic transformations but also to emphasise the hotel sector as the
consumer par excellence of the Spanish design sector. Thus, we will pay homage to the
global association between Spain, holidays and its leisurely ways. Produced in
collaboration with artists Esther Merinero and djtrashcap.
Hope you enjoy your stay with us!

SINGS IN THE HORIZON AND THEMESHELVES

In designing the exhibition space for Signs in the Horizon and in Themselves, the aim was to enhance the viewer's experience of Javier Arbizu’s work by creating an environment that reflects his themes of mystery and discovery. The approach went beyond merely supporting the pieces; the display structures—crafted from steel and glass—were designed to echo the qualities of Arbizu's artworks, as if they, too, held a sense of hidden history and meaning.

Subtle nods to figures like Carlo Scarpa, particularly his work on the Palazzo Abatellis, and Franco Albini’s exhibition designs informed the use of materials and spatial layout. These references to Scarpa and Albini’s thoughtful approach to exhibition design allowed the space to feel both grounded and modern, with an emphasis on clarity and material presence. The aim was for each piece to have its own breathing room, similar to historical displays, but with a minimalist sensibility that complements Arbizu’s contemporary works.

Ultimately, the design sought to blend seamlessly into the experience, inviting viewers to engage with both the art and the environment. The goal was to create an exhibition space that felt integral to Arbizu’s work, drawing viewers into a shared narrative of exploration and reflection.
