SIMON SAYS - 2025
Fiberglass and Spring loaded casters
150 x 150 x 130 cm
Simon Says is a modular fiberglass grandstand that adopts the formal language and materiality of the nautical industry—not out of technical necessity, but as an assertion of desire: the drive to go further and faster. These notions, closely tied to performance, point us toward a competitive logic that, in the end, is nothing more than a game.
Conceived as a collective device, this grandstand is not just a structure for bodies—it proposes a space from which to observe, act, and share. Its design—a quarter circle with three height levels—allows for multiple configurations. Four units form a circus; two, an intimate theater. What begins as a module becomes a piece of relational architecture.
Simon Says, developed during the portal residency at
Pluto, is one of four industrial design projects that now become part of Baby Pluto's permanent furniture collection. A piece that invites play, gathering, and the possibility of performing together.
