Miguel Leiro is a designer, curator, and educator based in Madrid who focuses on expanding the cultural value of design. After receiving a bachelor's in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute (New York City) he started a practice in Madrid that specializes in products, creative direction, interiors, and branding.          ´WET DREAMS´ DECK CHAIR


As part of the @calip.er editions programme. @victor.clemente_ and I alongside @by_belevy and the rest of the team at Caliper developed this project as a play on the classic deck chair.

@mayrit.bienal , known for its engagement with water-related themes, endeavours to not only foster conversations around them but also to manifest projects that redefine our interaction with aquatic environments. In this way, we hope to domesticate this emblematic piece of furniture, crafting a design that awakens a longing for the waterside, right in the heart of the city.

Fabricated in Madrid from chrome plated laser cut oval tube and a graphic printed mesh seat, featuring silicone end caps, can holder, bead blasted aluminium ashtray and finished with anodized titanium hardware.
